YTSEJAM Digest 7186 Today's Topics: 1) Gigantour in San Diego by Brian 2) Gigantour setlist? by "Zachary Gemmill" ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Date: Fri, 29 Jul 2005 07:41:33 -0700 From: Brian To: ytsejam@torchsong.com Subject: Gigantour in San Diego Message-ID: Loved the show musically, but well I got way less than the advertised music quantity. Walked in bout 10 minutes after the printed ticket time, Fear Factory was under way. After them, Dream Theater played for a little over an hour, which meant only about 8 or 9 tunes. Megadeth closed with maybe 90 minutes if I had to guess. I was so close that the mix was impacted. I sat on Petruccis side so I was fairly unable to hear Myung when the whole band was going. I don't believe they swapped sides at all during the show. I'm a bassist, so this was a tad disappointing. I won't give away too many of the tunes, but they did play Panic Attack, with that amazing bass riff intro. The band was great as usual, the mix eh not so good. So, I got to see a see band notsogiganticgigantour..
