Sony used to push relentlessly its proprietary Memory Stick format to 
customers, basically if you buy Sony camera, handycam etc. you need 
Memsticks. Didn't work out too well, because of the price (compared with SD, 
for example). Now they seem to back off a bit by allowing the PS3 to swallow 
basically anything.
And now Microsoft seems to attempt to put forward another proprietary 
format. At least, they did not announce support for existing ones.
That is strange to me :) Shouldn't Microsoft be the more open one?

Just as an fyi - there are poorly-recorded radio edits
of 'Panic Attack' and 'These Walls' floating around
out there.  I'm a fanboy, so my opinion doesn't count,
other than to say I'm not disappointed with either.

And I think the whole secrecy thing is a little over
the top, but it's not my band, so...
