So it really depends on what they write. Mike locked it up before I could respond. Oh well, he doesn't need my opinion. Gettier" To: ytsejam@torchsong.com Subject: DT on XM Message-ID: Any of you have XM satellite radio Or Sirius? I recently purchased a car with XM radio. I love it. Its the greatest thing since Tivo. But I do find that prog metal is not represented enough for my tastes. I have heard Dream Theater on 2 different stations, XM Music Lab (51) which is classified a "prog rock" station. Great stuff on this station, but I've heard nothing metal outisde of DT. The Bone Yard (41) is a pretty good station, Iron Maiden, Dio, Deep Purple, lots of "hair metal" but not necessarily the stuff played to death back in the 80's. I've heard DT on here also. There is one pure metal station on XM, Liquid Metal (42), but this is predominately death metal with cookie monster vocals. I like my share of this, but it all starts to sound the same after awhile. There is a "heavy alternative" station, Squizz (48) which plays mostly stuff like Tool, Linkin Park, etc. although I have heard Evanescence and Lacuna Coil on here. I guess I am dreaming of a "thinking man's metal" station in the future. And there are plenty of band's to be played on it. What kind of thinking man's metal bands are you referring to when you say that we need a channel for them? I mean, I've heard queensryche on the boneyard, 41, for those who don't know. What other bands are you referring to? -----Original Message----- From: ytsejam@torchsong.com [mailto:ytsejam@torchsong.com] On Behalf Of Gary M. Some of those could be played on 51 or 41. Just depends. If 41 plays DT, why wouldn't they play the others? Maybe an opportunity to request them. -----Original Message----- From: ytsejam@torchsong.com [mailto:ytsejam@torchsong.com] On Behalf Of Gary M.
