Some of the songs (Man, Ocean Machines, Promise, L.A.) are good, worthy of a normal Devin release. Some is really just random. I you don't have a copy of the song "Ocean Machines" then I'd recommend it just for that song alone, which is one of my favorite Devin songs of all time. As always, YMMV, but if you like Ocean Machine / Devin stuff there's probably enough to justify the purchase. If you managed to track down the Japanese release of Physicist, which has the same versions of Man, Promise and Ocean Machines on it, you may not need Ass-Sordid. ~Chris ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 26 Nov 2004 09:20:22 +0100 From: Sebastian Keil To: ytsejam@torchsong.com Subject: Re: YTSEJAM digest 7027 Message-ID: <045EBA7E-3F84-11D9-B56A-000A95718398@web.de> --Apple-Mail-1-743454690 charset=US-ASCII; format=flowed Hi, I have been debating for quite some time if I should switch to The Forum which I am not checking regularly. Here's a starter for action on the jam: I was listening to Voices on OiaL, especially to the guitar solo as it is one of my favorites. At first there was just a noise in the background, then I realised Kevin is probably using a leslie. However, it rotates at a different beat than the song goes. Then I thought oh well, he might be clever, rotating at some measure that matches tha one beat in the end, but no. It sound off to me, especially when the =16 let's call it wah =16 sound comes close after the one beat. Any other thoughts? Paranoid? sab --Apple-Mail-1-743454690 Content-Type: text/enriched; charset=US-ASCII VerdanaHi, I have been debating for quite some time if I should switch to The Forum which I am not checking regularly.
