WtWB isn't actually that bad to have on repeat because it's so long :-P It was several hours of 'Mr Jones' by Counting Crows which led to the power cable incident, however *twitch* :-P -- Karyn >Date: Mon, 20 Sep 2004 20:52:45 +1000 >From: "Niall Connaughton" >To: >Subject: RE: Rhythm of Time >Message-ID: > >I know someone who was converted to DT by a friend she was staying with. >The >"friend" would log in to his computer at home from work and put LTE on to >play on repeat, and she couldn't stop it because she didn't have a password >to the machine (though there apparently was a certain incident with a power >cable). > >I think she's still on the list ... ;P _________________________________________________________________ Protect yourself from junk e-mail: http://microsoft.ninemsn.com.au/protectfromspam.aspx ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 21 Sep 2004 02:12:21 -0400 From: "Christopher Oates" To: Subject: Re: Into Eternity Message-ID: I've been into Into Eternity for a while now (no pun intended) -- They have 3 releases, the aforementioned 2, plus a self-titles first CD. All 3 are good, though they did change styles a little bit from 2 to 3, and they added a new lead vocalist. I could say more, but others here have already done so, plus it's 2 am and I still need to study for a Japanese test tomorrow afternoon. Well, I'll say a bit more. I was disappointed by the sound of their set at PP. It was hard to make out the notes they were playing, and at times the singing sounded out of key, which may be because their monitors were not set up right and they heard the same mush I heard. Zero Hour had the same problem 2 years ago... ~Chris ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 21 Sep 2004 03:21:07 -0400 From: "Paul W. Concur about the two CDs -- both are good starting points and if you like one, you'd like the other. Excellent show to start off ProgPower USA V, too. Their current frontman/lead singer for the smooth vox is new to the band, and with my eyes closed I couldn't tell it was someone new. All the members of the bands share in the growly vox...including the drummer. I was impressed. Cool guys, too, very fan-friendly and active. Two members of the band were present (and one was recording video) at the fast-becoming-infamous ProgPower 5.1 performance at 6am on Sunday morning, wherein Midnight, ex-Crimson Glory, gave an impromptu solo acoustic performance on the party patio at the Fairfield Inn. We were, all of us, stunned. -- +--- Paul W.
