What is on the DVD was filmed during the actual recording sessions - mabrown had to sort thru all of MP's video footage (all the different takes) to piece together all the sections so that it would (with few exceptions) match what ended up on the final recording. Listen to the commentary and you'll see this is the case. If I misunderstood you, I apologize, but that's the impression you gave me with your post. But what I really wanted to emphasize was that, what we hear is NOT what is being played realtime. The whole essence of capturing a live drum performance, with every minor imperfection and twist and turn, is irrevocably lost (gee that sounded melodramatic). And that's a let-down. It is extremely cool. Check ou8t the second to last track, RA. He did a version of this to demonstarte the Korg Triton Extreme keyboard and that version was quite cool, but the version on the CD is even better. I really like this CD and think any fan of extremely cool keyboards should pick this up.
