Yep, I got 'em both. TFK's "Adam & Eve" is more symphonic than "Unfold The Future", and that's a good thing in my books. I didn't like the improvisational, jazzy stuff on UTF. I'm finding that A&E takes a few listens to fully appreciate, as with all TFK CD's. If you like Pain of Salvation, you owe it to yourself to try this CD and listen to Daniel's lead vocals, especially on Vampire View. As for Threshold, "Subsurface" is another solid release by them. It's more in the vein of "Critical Mass" than "Hypothetical" or "Clone". ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 26 Aug 2004 11:55:33 -0700 From: "Trevor Hoit" To: Subject: Re:Flower Kings & Threshold Message-ID: <004301c48b9e$444ff180$message_id_removed> Subject: Re: Flower Kings & Threshold >> Was curious if anyone else picked up the new Flower >> Kings and or Theshold albums? >Wow. I'm interested to know what other bands these guys are from... the vocalist from "Is this the end" and "the spirit remains the same" is really good. It's possible he's the guy from the other swedish band Ritual, but I'm not sure. ----- Original Message ----- From: Souter, Jan-Michael To: Multiple recipients of list Sent: Thursday, August 26, 2004 4:01 PM Subject: RE: Flower Kings & Threshold I'm a HUGE fan of Karmakanic. To: ytsejam@torchsong.com Subject: Paul Evans Message-ID: Fates Fusion metal! Paul, I'm listening (examining? critiquing? enjoying!) "The Green Room Groove" even as I type, and it's definitely something well, different. Instrumental and a definite combination of progressive metal and heavy fusion. I like the song, the little dynamic twists and turns, and the guitar sound, quite fluid and tone is perfect for this style. Color me impressed. I can't criticize a drum machine since my CD's incoporate sampled drums, but otherwise, I like it. What are your future plans, full CD?
