How can anyone not appreciate Crossroads? Modern guitar wouldn't be what it is without Robert Johnson's influence. That said, I thought these were odd choices for Rush, but they're apparently old influences. It'll be a good album, I'm sure, but I hope they show some restraint on these tunes. Nothing ruins good classic rock like excessive wankery. And Jan-Michael, I wasn't born until '76 and I still love this music. In a lot of ways, it has so much more substance than music in the last 20 years, prog (very much) included. :-) Adam ***** The information transmitted is intended only for the person or entity to which it is addressed and may contain confidential, proprietary, and/or privileged material. Yeah that was fucked up...Especially because Dream Theater, Skid Row, Mr. Big and alot of the other musicians and bands involved on that tribute sell ALOT more records outside of North America than Rush does...Once you go to Europe or South America or Japan or wherever, Rush is not popular at all...and I figured by putting this tribute together, we'd introduce a whole new generation of kids to who one of our big influences was.... This morning, corporate radio yanked the rock station and replaced the format with a cheesy "Sunny 97.1" playing happy tunes. Beach Boys are on the air now. This is an outrage. We still have two rock stations left. Both play classic rock. KZPS 92.5fm is more hard core Classic Rock only. The BONE http://www.933thebone.com plays classic rock with a metal edge. Their playlist has been upgraded recently to include harder rock. Sorry for the other 49 states that prolly don't give a crap :) This blows. Honestly I listen to more CDs than radio, but when I do want a little change I'll flip through a couple radio stations. Now that's all we have left.
