I had the original already but I wanted the bonus track (a different version of a track from Epilog). The CD has been out of print for a while now so it's a good chance to pick it up -- it's $15 at The Laser's Edge (lasercd.com). For those who don't know, Hybris is a classic prog rock album from the 90s. It's primarily instrumental with some Swedish vocals on a couple tracks. It's got a huge dynamic range with superb drumming and guitar work, plus flute and mellotron. Very cool stuff -- it's one of my favorite 90s CDs. So...A couple of weeks ago, I saw this amazing link to the Toronto DT boot (thx a lot to the guy that recorded it and posted it!!!!) For us (the south americans) the only way to experiment the feeling of DT playing live is through live recordings and dvds, so, Seriously you made my day canadian buddie!!!! A couple of things...Considering the fact that it was an "illegal" recording, the sound quality rocks!!! A couple of comments respecting the show 1) In As i Am, WTF JLB says in the chorus, in french, istead of "take me as i am" ??? 2) JP is almost FLAWLESS live, The solos were played perfectly, I just think that he needed more stamina in the SOC solo... 3)The jam during Beyond this Life was TOTALLY FREAK!!!! 4) The Hollow Ywars extended solo was really beatiful Anyway...a great concert....and... Mike Portnoy (at least for me, and many more) IS GOD!
