Derek split with Chris Ptacek to go shopping while he left Mads (His other half) in my capable hands. (Oh how foolish:) I remember getting slightly tuned outside the doors with some big hispanic dude that fancied himself a drum god... I also remember him getting so wasted he had to leave before the show ended.. After the show, several of us followed Chris Ptacek to a restaurant for some late-night chow. That's also the same evening Chris passed off to me this suspicious looking home-burned CD that had Symphony X "Divine Wings" written in sharpie marker... My first experience with Symphony X was on the drive back to Minnesota. Within a week, I ordered EVERY CD in the Symphony X library! The passing of that CD later inspired me to return to Chicago to see Symphony X perform at the first ProgPower... Further proof that bootleg copies many times benefit a band. Since that bootleg copy I've legitimately purchased EVERY official Symphony X CD as well as clothing, lighter, and multiple concert tickets. Yup... Good times indeed. -- Al - The Ytse-ProGtologist ^ Switchcraft Microsystems ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Good judgment comes from experience, and a lot of that comes from bad judgment" --Will Rogers ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 5 Apr 2004 21:57:36 -0500 From: "Todd O.
