I'll second that one. I discovered approximately six million bands through posts on this list or linked MP3s from posts here. Some of them were crap, but a lot more were really excellent. Vanden Plas, Kamelot, Symphony X, Conception, and tons more. Not sure how long I've been hanging out but it was about the same time Spine mentioned (mid-96) I would guess. The guy I miss the most besides Bafu, though, is Eckie. I still have some of his posts saved because they crack me up every time. Upon hearing it I immediately thought to myself that it sounded like DT, even reminded me a bit of SoC. Then it dawned on me that it could only be the DT songwriting contest winner. Great song! Keep your ears out for it, for those who are still going to see them! Also, no April Fools joke on their website this year? I don't own DADU so that was a guess ... Also, there's an alternate source for this show, recorded and posted by Andrew Berg at www.sharingthegroove.org. Lossless compression (.flac) as well. So, you might want to go there for the missing bit of Endless Sacrifice, and the song that follows that I missed in my recording. I was sitting in the computer pool room at my university an amazed at how much information was available. Numerous concerts all over Germany, a gig in Bitch Hill, NJ, where I met Alex and several other jammers, and the legendary LTE gig in NYC where I didn't bring any cash for shirts because I thought they wouldn't have any. I've been on since probably late '94, I guess. I dunno, it's been a while anyway. Just had a flashback of some old jam memories. Remembering when I met Mike Bahr back some time ago when I ventured out to Phoenix to visit family, met a few other jammers, saw Megadeth, drank Guinness at hooters. Good times. The jam has hooked me up with some very good friends, and got me a gig in a band for a while when I lived over in Missouri. Not to mention all the new music I would've otherwise never heard. Damn, I just remembered the first jammers I ever met in person were at the Rush show Halloween night in St. Louis back in 1996. Wow. Anyway, hehe, thanks for the trip down amnesia lane. Solid.
