A recent InsideOut Music newsletter said: "while everywhere around Christmas business is raging, December is a rather quiet time for us. In a comfortably mood, we can prepare our first releases for the new year. In January the following releases are planned: the third album by U.S. melodic prog metal guys MAGNITUDE NINE Decoding The Soul, the album Dark Places by SOLAR (a project of ARENAs singer Rob Sowden) as well as the legendary debut album of the Swedish group RITUAL. In February are due: THRESHOLD with their first DVD and live double CD Critical Energy, and an acoustic album by PAIN OF SALVATION entitled 12:5." ----- Original Message ----- From: Andrew Coutermarsh To: Multiple recipients of list Sent: Sunday, December 07, 2003 10:23 PM Subject: Re: Pain Of Salvation On Sun, 7 Dec 2003, Sigit Prabowo wrote: > Anybody here heard any news about Pain Of Salvation? Next month, they are releasing an acoustic CD called 12:5 - not sure what's on it, but BE will be released later in the year. You should subscribe to the PoS mailing list on the yahoo groups. It is pretty much everything we were expecting it to be, and more. Some minor spoilers follow. :) ** spoilers follow ** The battle sequences at Minas Tirith are terrific -- stunning, seamless interraction between the visual effects and the live-action. Gollum and Smeagol get another back-and-forth dialogue and Andy Serkis gets some "real" face time -- and maybe a true chance at an Oscar thanks to it. We've already seen Viggo Mortensen sing in the extended edition of The Two Towers, but we see him sing again, and Billy Boyd gets a singing solo, too. Finally, for those who have enjoyed the movies, the characters and the books.....bring a handkerchief or some kleenex. You may get a little misty-eyed toward the end. I certainly did. --Paul C. www.paulcashman.com -- +--- Paul W.
