Stan ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 24 Mar 2003 22:15:12 EST From: email_address_removed To: ytsejam@torchsong.com Subject: War & OSI Message-ID: --part1_ac.3c80de65.2bb123c0_boundary Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII" I'm sorry I started all of this (yes, it was me), but this mailing list hasn't exactly been super-talkative about DT in the past few weeks. It SEEMS TO ME that the war rhetoric actually jump-started discussion here. And, while I do recognize this isn't exactly the place for war chat, this IS a great place to meet people from all over the world and to get their opinions on this global issue. There are too many folks on this list that continue to bitch at people for discussing the war, yet they contribute nothing in the way of discussing DT or progressive rock. Whatever. The point is some things are more important than DT...if only at certain times (this, coming from someone who has an Ytsejam tattooed on his back). I feel like Pandora for bringing up the war here, but I'm one of those damned opinionated Americans. I couldn't help it. Anyway...I really love OSI, and I was too bogged down by the flames to get a qualitative answer to a question I asked a while back. What (real) recommendations does anyone have for people who really love OSI? [eriC] http://metzae.net/ p.s. Anyone else get the feeling that the US has it's own OSI? --part1_ac.3c80de65.2bb123c0_boundary ---YTSEJAM FILTER: Rest of message skipped because of attachment ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 24 Mar 2003 19:32:50 -0800 (PST) From: rob denni To: ytsejam Subject: OSI Message-ID: I haven't heard any rumors about Mike not liking the sound of OSI, but the interviews he has given on the subject lead me to believe that he wasn't happy with how it came out. And while I'm here, I'll mention that I didn't like the album, but I listened to the second disc, and like that better. Set your controls is a great tune and they covered it well. Also like the 20 minute instrumental. I wish the whole album was like that. ==== Rob Denni EUSA Band PSC 303, Box 6 APO, AP 96204-0006 Go visit my website! http://home.talkcity.com/HeadbangersHwy/funkygroove/ __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Even the USSR was one of the monsters *you* (as obviously **you** identify with "your" country) created to use them first as allies and then... there would have been no Warszaw pact, not to speak of that realexisting socialism surely hadn't survived until the late 1980s. As companies are operating internationally your suggestion would be a self-mutilation of US economy. If you want the US to become a regime like North Korea, thinking they were right, but unrecognized and defamed by the rest of the world, dream on. And should you have thought of help as in rescuing Canada from not getting invaded by the USSR (as recently has been put forth as part of the US-Canadian polemics), despite the fact this wouldn't have happened anyway, think about how great the US interest must have been in not having another Iron Curtain as its northern border. >Some of you make me sick! That's no justification to talk about war on this list, the rules are the rules.
