If you love metal then most of you probably did like I did and bought them the day they came out. Shadows Fall-the art of balance and In Flames-Reroute to Remain are both excellent. Being in college I don't have a lot of $$$. So I can't afford to purchase a shitty record. Both of these discs are worth what I paid for. Everyone should check 'em out. Of to sharpen my sword for the Sym-X/Blind Guardian show in Houston 11/29 at Cardi's. The matter is I'll be in Zurich from 23.09 to 21.12 and during this period DT will be doing some shows not very far away from Zurich (according to the European Tour dates on dreamtheater.net). For me it's only one chance to see this amazing band live and I want see it in spite of all. So, maybe is someone who's gonna go to the shows and we'll could go together.. or something like that. And yet another question - How to book to that shows tickets? Maybe is on-line site for this reason? ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 22 Sep 2002 19:27:09 -0400 From: "D C" To: Subject: RE: OT: CDs for sale/ trade (make offer) Message-ID: >Hall Of The Mountain King - Savatage >Michael W. Yes, you did get screwed - no doubt about it, but that's >(unfortunately for you) the decision DT made. Scott, Yes I agree and am happy for the turkish fans but... I thought Istanbul wasn't in the original tour plan ! And it was more then likely DT's management and not DT themselves that made the final decision on where to go, how to go, and when to go (someone told me that DT do not have much heresay on this). I share your point of view though on the Paris shows but I still haven't cooled down yet. Message-ID: As expected, the new Explorers Club is getting better with every listen. Terry Bozzio's drumming is superb as always, and it's great to be able to listen to the stuff he does a lot more clearly than on Age of Impact. Steve Walsh does a very good job, as well as Gardner and LaBrie. I would still love to know who's playing the different solos, since it's hard for me to recognize the different players based only on style and sound. The only solo I can certainly address to somebody is the first guitar solo, which says Marty Friedman all over it. In fact, it sounds a bit Cacophonyish. Awesome.
