It was pretty packed, but there was still room to move, breathe, and be comfortable up front. The Fix For 96 show where they debuted songs from FII was way too packed. Nowhere to move or be comfortable at all! There was a Thursday night gig there on the FII tour that wasn't too crowded at all. Good show though. Stood right by the sound board the 2nd show & swear it was one of the best out of the 9 times I've seen them. Including this Saturday in Hotlanta. Hope Paul had fun standing - i took a seat in the front of the 2nd balcony. No way was I standing for 5+ hours. I hope the next time they go to a bigger & better venue - because the Tabernacle sucks! Sound is horrible! But DT played amazing like usual. Including a little soccer exhibition by John & John. BTW Where have been the tour updates on the following items: 1. # of times MP has spit during the set. 2. # of times JP grinned. 3. # of times JM smiled. 4. # of times JR did 360 degrees with his keyboard stand (I love that btw) 5. # of time KJL said "eh?". hehe That's all for now! ***INVISIBLE MODE ON*** ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 28 Aug 2002 01:59:08 EDT From: email_address_removed To: ytsejam@torchsong.com Subject: Atlanta concert Message-ID: > From: rob denni > Subject: DT tour > > Is anyone out there going to any DT shows or what? If anyone went to Atlanta on the 24th, > please post a revue so I can know what I missed since > I am now on the other side of the world. Thanx. I think the setlist was something like: New Millenium 6:00 Overture 1928 / Strange Deja Vu War Inside My Head / The Test that Stumped them All Surrounded The Great Debate Instrumental Wackiness Medley (Dance of Eternity / Erotomania / Metropolis Pt. 1 / Ytsejam / Darkest of Winters / Paradigm Shift / Universal Mind) The Spirit Carries On Take the Time (bits of Working Man and By-tor and the Snow Dog) I could be missing something, and the order probably isn't correct. The Tabernacle is a kick ass venue. The instrumental medley has to be the most insane thing DT has ever done. During Ytsejam, the Johns played soccer with each other, without missing a beat. > From: "Paul W. Cashman" > Subject: Birch Hell; Atl; Godhead > > The Atlanta show was great. Mike recognized me in the front > row. :) Were you the person who kept leaving your front row spot to get water or something and was able to return without a problem? Whoever that was, I was really tempted to upgrade from the third-row spot. We will be in section 106, if any other 'jammers are in attendance. Look for the big guy with a goatee wearing a bright tie-dye tshirt. Hopefully the show will rock, I'll try and post my thoughts/comments tomorrow after the show. ------------------------------ End of YTSEJAM Digest 6299 ************************** === Contributions to ytsejam: ytsejam@torchsong.com === === Send requests to: ytsejam-request@torchsong.com === === Brought by the ghost of ytsejam@arastar.coms past === === Reach the owner of this list at: ytsejam-owner@torchsong.com ===
