Dream Theater will perform in my city (Orlando) in August! > This will be my first DT concert. But it starts at 8 PM and > they have two opening acts: Kings X and Joe Satriani. > Has anyone on this list seen a DT show with not one but TWO > opening bands? I've read on this list that DT has really long > concerts. Will they play until 2 AM? > Personally, I'd be real happy if DT played the whole double album > "Six Degrees..." and nothing else. Yes DT has had 2 opening acts in the past, tho not necessarily by choice. Aside from the festival shows they do in Europe on every tour, on the first American leg of the M2000 tour, DT not only had the Dixie Dregs open for them, but also the Star People - note that the Star People was done by the promoters and/or label, not DT's choice. As to how long DT will be on stage, they will do a 90 minute set, as will Joe Satriani, even tho DT will play last. DT and Satch are "co-headlining" this tour and so will have equal set lengths and will alternate who will play last. As to what they will play, I'm sure that the set will change even more than in March since they will be on stage half the time they were in March. I'd expect a couple of songs to be added to the set that weren't played previously and I know for a fact that DT will be playing the entire title track of 6DoIT in all the cities that were not played on the first American leg. As to what exactly the rest of the set will consist of is anybody's guess, but I would imagine they will continue to open all the shows with The Glass Prison. Can anyone provide an update on the batch shipment of CDs to the US? I can't remember who had organized that, and if there are any CDs left.. If not, can anyone (Bernd?) explain the process of ordering from the Superior website and paying in Euros (if one lives in the US)? Does anyone here have an album by the band Mind's Eye? I heard a couple MP3s recently that sounded pretty decent, and was wondering if anyone could post some more info about their sound/style, similar bands, etc. thanks, -Neil. ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 13 Jun 2004 19:11:29 +1000 From: Graham Boyle To: Neil Evans Subject: Re: Superior CD Ordering / Mind's Eye Message-ID: NE> I really like the first two Superior discs and would love to order the NE> newest, Ultima Ratio.
