Maye the reason that some of the holes that were placed into the plot were there for the sole reason of disuccion. I remember when the CD came out. This list was a hotbed of discussion of people trying to figure out who killed who. It was great. Also a conceptual story is supposed to force you to fill in the holes. Would it have been as ainteresting to listen to if the story was told complete from front to back? This listener seriously doubts it. I know myself that I am able to listen to it and the story changes a bit each time. stan > Anyway, methinks finding and then bitching about such minor > flaws is akin to complaining about Star Trek plots that are incongruous > to the timeline established the season before ( I hate that.. (Like, when exactly did Edward plant the suicide note in Julian's pocket?) The best explanation I heard in response was: massive police corruption. I guess I can buy that. If you go to the Google.com search engine, and enter "Vincent Foster", you'll find more than you wanted to know about a real-life fake "suicide" in 1993. It's got everything -- a phony "suicide note", physically impossible exit wounds, missing evidence, even a gun that changed color in the middle the investigation. There were even rumors of an illicit love affair (with Hillary Clinton, yuck!) But anyone who tries to talk about Vince Foster now is labeled a right-wing nut. This makes me wonder whether the story of Vince Foster in any way influenced the SFaM album. Did anyone from the band ever mentioned Foster in an interview? And by the way, I DID finally figure out how to hear the band commentary on the SFaM DVD. (Go to "Set Up".) It was fun and funny hearing their comments. ------------------------------ End of YTSEJAM Digest 6213 ************************** === Contributions to ytsejam: ytsejam@torchsong.com === === Send requests to: ytsejam-request@torchsong.com === === Brought by the ghost of ytsejam@arastar.coms past === === Reach the owner of this list at: ytsejam-owner@torchsong.com ===
