And like a fine vintage Port, it only gets better... ;o) Speaking of Floyd, when is Pulse going to be released on DVD? Now that's a great concert video... Speaking of Floyd, I picked up the Roger Waters concert DVD "In the Flesh". It's well made; a great production. For a Floyd fan, it's worthwhile to pick up. It's definately Roger Waters solo though, as Gilmour is sorely missed on the Floyd songs (which are most of the concert). Roger has four different guitar players, (and they all seem to take a shot at singing Gilmour parts), but it's not the same. It's just hard to make up for one of the greatest melodic guitar players of all time. Too bad Waters doesn't get back with the guys in Floyd. Stubborn old fart! They're much better together than apart. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? So how did you get tickets already???? Pam Actually, I heard on Lazer 103 that tickets would go on sale on the 7th as well, but it says differently on the rave's web site. (www.therave.com) Then I went to Boston Store to check and tickets WERE already on sale. So, not only does Lazer 103 play the same music over and over and over, they can't get this presale date right. Go get your tickets Pam!! (no spoilers) Message-ID: I was overjoyed when I read on DT.net that 6DoIT will be released on January 21st here in Norway (and 17th in Italy) because of the tour. The one show DT plays here in Norway is the 29th, so they have given us a week to plow through it (not nearly enough, I suspect). I have as yet only downloaded a few of the new songs (edits) - and found some faked ones as well. I am *really* looking forward to getting the whole album, and seeing them live (it will be my second time). -- Get your firstname@lastname email at http://Nameplanet.com/?su ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 03 Jan 2002 05:44:32 -0500 From: "Paul W. Cashman" To: ytsejam@torchsong.com Subject: Update on my DTIFC situation Message-ID: Err, I guess I typed too soon with my mini-rant on the DTIFC. :) Earlier, I'd mentioned that I received the fanzine w/Xmas CD (4 Degrees of Radio Edits) right before Christmas, but hadn't received the prior fanzine issue with the Inside/Out sampler. Now I've just received THAT issue (on 12/31), even though it was reportedly mailed LONG before the Xmas issue. Curiouser and curiouser.... There's still a discrepancy in the DTIFC records as to when my membership expires: Kirby says I'm good for another issue, yet both recent mailings said my membership had already expired -- this despite the fact that I resubscribed, as so many did, in time to receive last year's (alleged) Christmas CD, which arrived close to Easter. (!) Depending on whose math one uses, it would appear that a 4-issue or one-year subscription could work out to one CD and two issues. I have been contacted by a DTIFC rep via email due to my earlier post, and I hope we're going to resolve the issue. I wish there were a way the U.S.-bound 'zines (and CDs) could be shipped en masse over to the States and then remailed domestically. This would remove a lot of uncertainty associated with the international post -- including the fact that, if undeliverable for ANY reason, an inbound 'zine from Holland is destroyed, not returned to the overseas sender. I'm sure there are financial as well as time constraints, but..... -- +--- Paul W. Happy New Year! I made it back to civilisation safe and sound, despite a rather unpleasant skirmish with a snowdrift and a ditch on my drive back south. I saw The Lord Of The Rings. Twice. Fookin incredible! My favourite film of the century so far... I got the fan club CD even though my membership expired! They included a wee note to the effect of "you haven't resubscribed, and you aren't really entitled to the CD, but we've sent you it anyway". How sweet. :-) I'm looking forward to Manchester and London and Barcelona. :-) -- Graham Borland Picsel Technologies Ltd email_address_removed Glasgow, Scotland ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 03 Jan 2002 06:21:41 -0600 From: Michael & Pamela Nazer To: ytsejam Subject: a few tour dates Message-ID: > First wave of Dream Theater US Tour Dates > Added on 01-02-2002 > > An Evening With Dream Theater - World Tourbulence 2002 > > Friday 3/8 Los Angeles, CA - Wiltern Theater > Saturday 3/9 San Francisco, CA - Warfield Theater > Sunday 3/17 Milwaukee, WI - Eagles Ballroom > Friday 3/22 Boston, MA - Orpheum Theater > Sunday 3/24 Washington DC - 9:30 Club > Wednesday 3/27 New York City - Beacon Theater > > Pam ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 03 Jan 2002 06:27:38 -0600 From: Michael & Pamela Nazer To: ytsejam Subject: an evening with?
