Message-ID: I recently heard the glass prison and i must admit that i didn't like it so much. Melodies were ok but it sounded kinda old. Not agressive, no complex rhythms, no 7 string guitar what you all have been talking about. If this song reminds me of some DT album it must be I&W or FII. When i was listening to Misunderstood i noticed something odd. It sounded TOO familiar until i realised it was Cover my Eyes! Someone had just changed the names, god knows why..Because there might be some DT songs i haven't heard, could someone please email me some lyrics of the glass prison to tell wheter mine's the real one or not. Maybe there is some much better glass prison.. -alex #X ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 9 Dec 2001 10:22:09 EST From: email_address_removed To: ytsejam@torchsong.com Subject: Re: cover my misunderstood eyes.. Maybe there is some much better glass prison.. sounds like you fell victim to the "decoy" songs that MP & a few other people supposedly put on the 'net to divert song-seekers such as yourself from hearing the new DT stuff before it comes out. i don't remember who mentioned this before, but there was a post or two on the jam a couple of weeks ago talking about this very same thing. guess you'll either have to wait like the rest of us, or keep searching. good luck either way. -eric "The things that matter the least in life get the most appreciation. Message-ID: <001101c18139$a83eee20$c43636cb@PaulTadday> Yeah this was a very successful ploy that Tool used in the lead up to the release of Lateralus. Quite a few bands are using it also... sometimes it pays to only download a few seconds of an mp3 and play it back first to make sure that you're downloading what you think you're downloading. So far I'm sitting on the fence as far as my thoughts on the new album go. After having only heard a couple of songs I don't want to make judgements without hearing the entire album. Songs sampled out of an album's context can sometimes give a wrong impression of an overall album. I've had a taste and a tease... now I'm ready for the entire thing!
