Lets get the jam rolling once again!!! I heard a new DT song called The Glass Prison (I'm not going to say how I got it and please don't email me to send it to you, since I don't know how secretive the band wants to be about the new music), which clocks in at 13:52, and let me tell you that I almost shit my pants when I heard it!!!!!!!!!! This is one of the heaviest, most aggressive and awesome DT songs ever!!! They're heavier than ever, with Pantera sounding riffs and drumming, and even sounding like Symphony X in some parts. Let me tell you that, if the whole album is as awesome as this song, then this will be the best DT album ever!!!!! James sounds awesome, even Portnoy sings on one part. All of the guys just kick ass. Myung even does some tapping stuff, very cool. This has everything you could ask for: great riffs, great singing, great keys, great drumming, great solos, everything!!!!!! I can't wait for the rest of the album!!!!!!!! Alexis __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo! Although that doesn't seem to stop some folks! :) I bought the TSO DVD, not because I haven't already seen it twice on Fox Family, but to support the band. It is exactly the same as the Ozzie Smith thing they've shown on TV the last couple of years. Didn't get a chance to see them last year as they never played in Chicago the last tour. I'd definately recommend seeing them. Don't know much about who's playing on what part of the tour though. It is a different type of show, we went as a family and our daughter liked it alot also. She was disappointed we couldn't go again this year. What we saw was based heavily on Christmas eve and other stories. Go if you get a chance but don't be suprised if sit by a grandma or a 6 year old:) Pam "Hi" John Myung, 8/23/1998 ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 30 Nov 2001 21:23:48 -0500 From: WB Henderson To: ytsejam@torchsong.com Subject: Re: trans-siberian Message-ID: Should you go to see TSO? Depends on your tolerance for Velveeta. I've been to a fair amount of concerts (about 100), spanning a number of different genres, and the TSO show I attended two years ago is in strong contension for the title of 'cheesiest'. It should be noted, however, that I did have a good time, and , in the long run, that means more than anything. That said, I don't think I'd fork over $35 or more to see them again, particularly with the bogus troupe deal they're pulling these days. Here's another X-mas tour that may be of interest to some of you.
