COOL! Now I just semi upgraded my PC - a friend gave me his old motherboard and 200Mhz AMD chip (as fast as the motherboard will support) and everything works hunky dory! GREAT! So I invest in a new CD ROM drive as the old one broke a while ago, and I think well, I'll be upgrading the whole thing in 3 months or so, so I'll get a DVD drive and I can transfer it into the new machine. SMART! So the whole thing is in and working (the new Creative Encore with remote control and Dxr3 board), and the DVDs with it both work perfectly. Then I bought Gladiator. It hung the Creative Play Center control panel and no picture appeared - the disk is recognised as Gladiator and the first track is recognised ready to play, but when I click play, nothing! I rented another DVD from Blockbuster to see if it would play and it did, with no problems. Has anyone else had any similar problems (I know there are some problems with Wharfedale players not playing the second disk, but neither will play in my drive), or can anyone think of what might be causing the problem - 'cause I'm going to be gutted if this happens with the DT disk! Any thoughts? Migrate over to the mikeportnoy.com message board, it's much cooler. Call me old-fashioned but I always thought that 99% of YtseJam was what we make of it. So, SPAM aside, if it's gone downhill, we've gone downhill ! If we all go over to MP.com it's the same people - so the same talk ! (and the same SPAM. No ?) The spam has gone quiet though... coool >Just remember people, not everyone can be as good as DT and as we use them >as a benchmark sometimes we can be a bit too judgemental on anything that >isn't quite up to the same extremely high standard. I couldn't agree more with Paul here. Otherwise we'll end up listening only to DT and since they wouldn't be able to churn out enough of their brilliant music to satisfy our huge musical apetite : they could have the death of thousands of YtseJammers on their hands ;) ;) ;) I remember someone trying to compare 'SFAM' and 'V' (was it here ?). Now 'V' is really cool but no where near 'the best album of all of my 26 years of existance' and I think that could be IOO (In our opinion) instaed of the usual IMO. No ? The only thing 'V' has in common with 'SFAM' are that both are concept albums ! Your processor is pretty outdated at 200mhz (no offense.. mine's only an Amd K6 3 450mhz :) and your processor is working pretty hard to play DVD's.. If it were me, I would get a stand-alone DVD player to hook up to the stereo and TV. But that's just my opinion.......mileage will vary. I think he did some Rush boots also. I received every DT boot CD he made. The final one took 9 months but it arrived. There were some people that didn't get theirs. They've been pretty vocal about it on the list, as I would too if I didn't get mine. His price was $25 per CD. The number of people that didn't like him were pretty vocal but there were more satisfied than not.
