Oh my dear Lord, somebody kill me before I ever get married again. 
;)  Seriously, Andrew was right, my mom tied the knot yesterday
(yay!), and then there's parties all next week plus I have a
houseguest for the week... anyway, I'll be back in full swing the
following weekend.

Hey, I have a question.  I'm looking for a pretty good pair of closed-air
headphones that are relatively inexpensive.  I primarily want them for my
own listening pleasure, but I'd also like a backup pair of broadcasting
headphones (I'm a DJ at the best radio station ever...shameless plug:  check
out my metal/prog show wed. nights mid-2 EST at www.bates.edu/wrbc).
Anyway, advertisements aside.  I'd love a broad variety (price wise)of
suggestions.  Any help will be greatly appreciated.  Thanks a lot.

Well, I'll give you the perfect pair that I've found, but beware that I
haven't tried anything any more expensive than these (Al keeps telling me
that I want to get this kickass pair of AKG headphones, but I just don't
have $100 to burn ;): The Koss TD/65's.  These suckers cost me about $35
when I first bought them, and that was over three years ago.  To my ear
(and while it's not an audiophile ear, I'd like to think I know quality
when I hear it), these have quite a bang for the buck.  I just bought a
new pair from buy.com for about $27 including shipping, and there is a
lifetime warranty on them.  They are closed-air, have wonderful bass
response, and still manage to keep an amazingly accurate balance when it
comes to tone.

If you're looking to maybe spend more than thirty bucks, I don't know what
else you might look for.  Maybe Al can help you for an inexpensive pair,
but my guess is that he'd tell you that anything really worth anything
would cost you more toward the hundred dollar range.  But my advice would
be to at least try out these Koss's.

We have some great news for you !!

Sun Caged (my new band after Lemur Voice) has found an excellent Keyboard
Player, his name is Joost Van Den Broek, he is only 18 years old and damn
good !!!

We will also play at a Dream Theater tribute CD, which will be released by
Siegen Records, the song we will do is "Caught In A Web", on vocals it will
feature Laura Van Driel (Forever Times).

Hello jammers,

Apologies for the Non-DT content but this might interest you

Some of you might be aware of the fact that a guy called YtseJim used to run
and maintain a website called 'Music in Progress'. You could find MP3's of
bands and artists there and he also gave 'new' bands the opportunity to show
themselves to the rest of the world by promoting their music. A huge task
and he did it all by himself.

At a certain moment this was a bit too much and he decided he wanted to stop
the site and started looking for someone else to maintain it. When Dennis
Leeflang, drummer of SunCaged and freelance webdesigner, heard about this,
he immediately asked me and another friend and fellow webdesigner if we
would be interested to help him. As we immediately said 'yes', together we
'revived' Music in Progress.

The concept is still the same, you can find MP3's of famous and not so
famous bands and artists and we give new bands the opportunity to promote
themselves on the site. Next to that we created seperate sections for
drummers and guitarists with forums and there is a section with exclusive
bootlegs.

feedback. There is already a lot of good stuff there and we will update
almost every day. And if you play in a band or if you are a solo artist and
would like to share your music with the world do not hesitate to contact us.

Since I started the last round of comments on the Xmas CD, I'll continue to
stir things up. I just got the fanzine in the mail today. Since we're only
14 days away from Christmas, image my disappointment when I discovered there
was no CD in the envelope. Does this mean we'll get the Xmas CD at Easter?
Don't get me wrong, I'm VERY thankful for the Xmas CD's, but it seems to me
that the timing of the fanzines are all off.
