Message-ID: <00d301c037ae$347390c0$message_id_removed> I've contemplating getting this DVD for a while now. Can someone tell me a little about the content and if it's good/worth buying? I am an amatuer guitarist (been at it a long time but don't play in a band) and love to study the Masters! Thanks in advance, I-Man ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 16 Oct 2000 17:10:24 -0400 From: "Ivan Navarro" To: Subject: Re: PHISH...breaking up? Message-ID: <00e701c037b5$80ae78e0$message_id_removed> I am by no means a Phish fan, but will share what I know. There was a report given on SNL Weekend Update which preported that they broke up and as a result sales of soap have gone up! Also, my buddy(who is a big Phish fan) said that there was an article in the NY Times about it. He said that he thought that the article implied more of a hiatus rather than a break-up. Perhaps he is just in denial though ;-) I-Man ----- Original Message ----- ]From: To: "Multiple recipients of list" Sent: Sunday, October 15, 2000 7:31 PM Subject: PHISH...breaking up? > > I recently heard a rumor that Phish (one of my favorite bands) has broken up > indefinately because they believed they were "losing their original > fan-base". Message-ID: Well, I am not sure what has happened since I last checked, but I dont think the band ever said anything about breaking up. In fact, at their last show, when the guitar player mentioned the break, he said it was so they could recharge, and go another 17 years. So I don't know why everyone is reporting it as a break up. ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 16 Oct 2000 22:54:18 EDT From: email_address_removed To: ytsejam@torchsong.com Subject: Phish Message-ID: In a message dated 10/16/00 4:53:15 AM Central Daylight Time, ytsejam@torchsong.com writes: << I recently heard a rumor that Phish (one of my favorite bands) has broken up indefinately because they believed they were "losing their original fan-base". I heard it was for the same reasons you said-didn't want to be so main stream so they wer gonna let stuff cool off for a while before doing anymore stuff. I can't look up the site at the moment, but just out of curiosity, is this guy in his 40's, smoke, and have long, thinning black hair? I met a guy at a Satriani show who had 7 or 8 different JS guitars, and pix to prove it. Just wondering if it was the same guy. Just to brag: I've got an interview w/ Lockheed Martin on Friday. :-)b -Dan. ________________________________________________________________ YOU'RE PAYING TOO MUCH FOR THE INTERNET! I ordered the import back in july, but I also want to get the domestic release, and I was wondering... Has _ANYONE_ been able to find this CD in a standard music store?! I've been to every single store in the area to no avail. Is it just this area, or has SyX been screwed over by Metal Blade? I figured they wouldn't get much promotion from the label, but this is ridiculous. ------------------------------ End of YTSEJAM Digest 5642 **************************
