This is just another one of those carefully engineered practical jokes from Mike P. and the gang... Rumor is that they spent more time preparing this little ending "mishap" than Mike P. did practicing his kick and snare drum hits to get them to sound just like triggered drums. The rhythm is the morse code and the airport code is YYZ, however the morse code pattern comes from an aviation navigational facility called a VOR (Very-high-frequency Omnidirectional Range). All VOR's continuously transmit a three letter morse code signal so that pilots can identify which facility they are navigating with. The Toronto VOR's three letter morse code is also YYZ. I heard that one of the guys in Rush is a private pilot and that the beat for the song YYZ came to him while he was flying near Toronto and listening to the morse code of the Toronto VOR. I can't confirm that last part, but as an airline pilot who flies into Toronto regularly, I can confirm everything else as fact. ~Just another Matt _________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com.
