Yes, DW pedals are expensive depending on where you buy them of course.
Last time I checked at MARS music the prices were similar on the two
brands.... 

Oh, and check your brands my man, "Iron Cobra" are made by Tama. Yamaha
makes some pedals that I think Virgil Donati used at least on the MD
Festival Video... I would still go with DW's new line of pedals. They are
so responsive and fast!!
