For some reason game music is and has always been very classical. Some veteran nerds around here who still remember Rob Hubbard, one of the superstars of game music in the 80s? Just like Deep Purple he mixed hardrock and classical music, making some *terrific* (and sometimes pretty "progressive") tunes. You really have to get used to the beepy sound, though.
