If you want keyboard you have to get Vitalij Kuprij's two cds. He's the keyboardist for Artension. Shrapnel label. Plus Greg Howe plays guitar on the first one (High Definition) and George Bellas plays guitar on the second one (Extreme Measures) Hope this helped you as well as other Jammerz. Thank you very much. hey! A new album by Therion? well, I was reading some info on nuclear blast www site and it said there that C. Johansson was working on some maxi-single kind-of-thing which was suppose to include his cover of "O Fortuna" (opening & closing track of opera "Carmina Burana"). Then I read an interview about month ago and he said that there are no plans for an actual full-lenght album this year... Anyhow, who knows what he has been up to now, every album is a bit different... i mean, they were a death metal band and then all of a sudden they released "Theli" which left everyone amazed. I don`t know have you heard "Lepaca Kliffoth" or their earlier work, but I`d say that they`ve progressed since early days... I liked "Vovin" alot so I think I`m gonna take my chances and buy this new one... not that I actually answered your question :-))... just made a comment on it. Sasha p.s. Thanx to everyone who answered my question about Van Halen`s "Jump". I found and downloaded mp3 of it... that was the one alright. First of all, thank you on the Ripples explanation. I think that I will have to go out and by my first Genesis (yes, shameful, none in my collection) cd. You see, I was never big on Genesis of the 80's, so I avoided them. While we are on the Genesis subject, I seem to remember eons ago a soundtrack to the movie Against All Odds (yeah it even had Phil Collins singing that "Take a look at me now..." tune on it., but if I recall correctly had a really "weird/unique" sounding Peter Gabriel tune on it, does anybody recall that song and it's name? Ok, now my comments on long hair. Ok, I really miss Mike P's long hair, but ya know the dude's got a couple children and I know there's no other pain in the world than when kids get their little fists full of hair and they never let it go. So I can totally identify with why he got it cut. Some people are long-hair types and others not. Like Derek really looked great with short hair and yet I've seen pics of the long-hair era and it just didn't seem to fit him. In the end you gotta go with what works for you. I can't believe I spent part of my post rambling about hair, we've gotta get some good topics going on this list... Babs BTW, as you know I'm still hanging in the dorms for my summer office, we've been rotating cd's amongst ourselves and our graphics artist gave me a cd of Robert Bradley to play, anybody heard of this guy? ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 18 Jun 1999 05:29:24 -0700 From: "Trevor W. Another interesting drink made from potatoes is Potteen, which is Irish Potato Whiskey. Interesting story: when my dad was in Ireland, he was sick with a cold, and they gave him a shot of Potteen to make him better. He wakes up in the middle of the night sweating his ass off - the shit just BURNED the illness out of him. Most of the time, the Irish use it to rub on a horse's sore muscle, but I happen to have two bottles for 'medicinal purposes'... muahahahaha. :) Nicholas Giannotti x6745 Joint STARS Contracts email_address_removed ---------------------------------- Out the token ring, through the router, down the fiber, off a switch, past the firewall, down the T1 ... nothing but Net. ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 18 Jun 1999 08:15:01 -0400 From: "Mike Patrick" To: Subject: Dali's @ CDNow... If you want some REALLY good keyboard stuff, Cairo's Mark Robertson and Royal Hunt's Andre Andersen should both satisfy you nicely. Robertson is a better player but Andersen writes better songs, I think. Both of them are frighteningly good at their instruments (though Robertson has taken some obvious cues from Keith Emerson). Cairo's "Cairo" and "Conflict and Dreams" are both worth getting, as is Royal Hunt's "Paradox" and "Moving Target". Beware of earlier RH releases, as they don't have D.C. Actually I've always really disliked this argument, because often the person saying this is not, nor are they claiming to be A PROFESSIONAL. Sometimes people that don't even play say this stuff. They're not giving any pretense of being able to play but the person who they are criticizing IS! If you release a cd, play an instrument, and declare yourself a professional, I'm sorry you leave yourself open to criticism.
