This was some great info!  Even though it wasn't directed at me, thanks a
whole bunch!  I like to think I'm a pretty big BG fan even though I only
got sucked in through NiME - one year ago, or sumfin.  In any case, I'm in
the process of going through past albums and purchasing them, so this was
great info for me.  Kickass.  I won't say anymore now as I should dedicate
all my typing to that term paper due Monday - yay, what a way to spend a
Friday evening.

Wow, that was quite intelligent wasn't it? It's ALMOST as intelligent as all

I was the one who made this comment, and unfortunately, I don't own any
death metal.  It's really hard to get anything other than r&b and pop
around here, unless you are Dr. Mosh.  I have quite a bit of death metal
on mp3, and so far I haven't been able to understand any of the words. 
Doom metal is much more my thing.  I'm real big on Opeth, In Flames and
Katatonia (please excuse me if my categorization of these bands differs
from yours), and I'm starting to like My Dying Bride [feel free to send
me my cd any day Chris :)].

Yes, we're on the same page, alot of times i'm not too good at wording what I'm
trying to say, I also hate seeing such strongly rehearsed "solos", I like
seeing new ideas and new interpretations of the changes and melodies everytime
I hear a song...Interesting about Metheny, the only Metheny I've heard was some
solo album where he was very distorted and rockish...forget which album it
was...I know he's very talented, and I'd like to hear him in a more typical
jazz setting...I'll go hunt that down...

Can someone point me to a >studio< album discography of Frank Zappa's works.
I seem to only find total discographies with all the live and greatest hits
crap and I think he must have more of those than studio albums. :P  I just
need to know where to get started.  I have Strictly Commercial (I know it's
a greatest hits, hehehe) and I like >every< song on it.  >Alot<. :)  Thanks!

One really good hardcore/death metal band is Embodyment.  they are from
Dallas, and believe it or not, they are a Christian band.  there lyrics are
intense and sincere, and the music is just...wow!  No explanation available.
Their CD is called "Embrace the Eternal." and it just rocks!!!!

I don't care what Korg, or Paycheck have to say, Metal, especially in it's
most extreme form...  like the combo Death/Techno/Industrial morph, destroys,
it literally, utterly destroys more than any other genre of music...  

In fact, extreme METAL at extreme volumes destroys speakers, hearing, naps,
neighbors, sleeping old people, house parties, small rodents, bottles of
pressurized combustible chemicals, vehicles that seat less than 3 people,
at extremely fast rates...
