Most women we call fat can be quite cute in short skirts, etc, but people lump them under the same category as people who weigh in the 300s, which is kind of unfair. NOOOOOO!!!!! Message-ID: Although my fanatic self feels the way you do, there is one thing protecting me that you obviously didn't bother to program yourself to realize.....Nothing lasts forever. I began to tell myself this after the 2nd leg tour of TFE. Sure, there was the magic of RUSH on stage, but you had to be blind not to sense that RUSH was tired. The news of Neil's tragedy was just a catalyst for what was to eventually happen. However, there is always the possiblity that they will continue as music is what their lives have been consumed by for all of these years. Your problem is similar to mine. We become "selfish" fans. Rush to me is an everyday part of what I do. Listening to Rush everyday is a routine I follow just like any other of mine. Because of this, we ignore the fact that things end, eventually. That is why I began to prepare myself a year ago. I am still a bit saddened, but I do have all of their albums to reflect on for my everyday moods. Not to be a negative guy, but Dream Theater will not be around forever either. Sorry to break it to you ,but I am sure there will be a day when some of the members are just tired and want to call it quits. That's reality, and reality bites. Hmmm. My favorite keyboard moments. Let's see. 1 would have to be Metropolis middle section, 2 would have to be 6:00 from DT, 3 would have to be Cinemashow from Genesis, 4 would be Close to the Edge from Yes, 5 would be Karnevil 9 from ELP. I could go on forever, but 5 seems to be enough. Do I need to explain why? Listen to the two dt songs,t hat should be enough. For Cinemashow, listen to the Seconds Out version or the keyboard solo section of the In The Cage Medoly on 3 sides live. Karnevil 9, need I say more, listen to the studio version, and for the Yes version of Close to the Edge, listen to An Evening of Yes Music plus, right after the pipe organ thing. On that same album listen to Rick Wakeman's keyboard solo, track 4, i believe on disk 1. With Derek in the band, it almost seems ghostly to hear that intro tape. I think there should be some way to get four Trinities, a Z1 and a Roland VK7, or whatever Derek is using now, to recreate that intro and make it sound great. Plus, it would be cool to see the band doing it. What about ACOS? Are they still using the intro to that fromtape? I remember it being played live once. All the piano bits and synths and strings, etc... on the entire Talk album are done by Rabin. He even played the Endless Dream piano opener live, and then switched on the sequencer to play it when he had to pick up the guitar. The only thing Kaye does on Talk is play the Hammond organ, which is actually played during Endless Dream (Kaye plays a simplified version of the Endless Dream piano line during the intro to the song.)
