The tour folks have left a gaping hole in the Midwest. So far that is. How about Minneapolis/St. Paul? This time around there should be a large draw locally, as well as a impressive draw from ND. SD. IO. and WI. I live in a St. Paul eastern suburb, and attended both the Nov 2 MPLS, and Nov 18 Madison shows. I also met a number of people that traveled a great distance. I have friends in both Dakotas that have been bitching that DT has never been there. They also said that they would be willing to pack up the canoe and travel a few hundred miles to see a show. I got a better idea, You guys can setup in my basement and play. I fill the fridge with Jag, acquire a great deal of smoke (in case the ru= mors about James are true) Then I will order 5 dozen boxes of doughnuts to keep the Oakdale Police Dept. at bay. We will invite all the good lookin= g local chicks over so they can weep as Derek plays Rod Stewarts *Do Ya Think I=92M Sexy* on my daughters 1959 vintage (tube type) Thomas Organ. After the 3 plus hour show, (hehe) we will hang out and watch *Beavis And Butthead Do America* and throw darts at my daughters Alanis Morissette poster. In a well tuned state of mind of course. Last night we went to the show in Wolverhampton, which was excellent. Setlist included Anna Lee and the LTL/Metropolis medley and when they come to the line " Show me kindness, shom me beauty show me truth", we held aloft the banner my girlfriend and I made which had these words on it - v.cool! Mike said he "Wanted it!" but we have 3 more show to go (he,he). Mattias, "Our biggest fucking fan, from Germany" - as described by MP, had Happy Birthday sung to him by the whole crowd at MPs request. He was also the 1st of the crowd drummers and was v.good, shame the same can't be said about the second guy... We wandered in at during the soundcheck as no one was about, and saw them run through a couple of songs but left hastily at the request of the tour manager. That's all for now, many more adventures to come in the next four days I'm sure! Bye, Adrian. ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 11 Apr 1998 10:21:04 -0500 (CDT) From: Mark Jeffrey McEuen To: Multiple recipients of list Subject: Re: Laser's edge Message-ID: On Sat, 11 Apr 1998, TheCowGod wrote: > I've heard of Lasers Edge here. Plus, in the last Portnoy IRC session, he mentioned the Vic as being one of his favorite venues to play.
