It's about 1 meg, so be sure you really want it before you start. It does have the complete band score, so that's a definite plus! WDADU Inside cover photos with autographs. I picked these autographs up during the first Images and Words tour (hence no Dominici autograph, anyone want to help me out with that?) You've seen the pictures before, but for those of you who haven't been able to get the autographs yet (remember, Kevin Moore may be much harder to get now), just download these, print them out on a good color printer and lie your ass off how you got them from the band personally to all your friends. Well, I would like to thank "Itchy" for putting these up. His website is probably the only website I hit daily and should be the model for all other serious websites. It may seem stupid to put up his website address, but there was a time when even you didn''t know about "Under a Cyber Moon" so here it is: http://www.prognosis.com/dream/main.htm ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 17 Mar 1998 17:21:51 -0800 From: email_address_removed.au (Paul Dyer) To: email_address_removed Subject: NDTC Message-ID: Sorry about the NDTC - I don't remember ever posting much that has DT content actualy....hmmmm :) A friend and I want some info on the following as we have never heard them....nothing in depth...reccomendations and style of music/comparisons.... I tend to agree. This album is a must have -- it's quirky like Peter Gabriel often is, but too much so (Foxtrot's cool, but just one shade too "quirky"). Another fav album of mine is A Trick of the Tail. This is post-Gabriel, with Phil singing, but it's not nearly as pop as their 1983-on stuff. Other would recommend The Lamb Dies Down on Broadway (2-CD bigass sounding album. Too much Gabriel for me, but to each their own). A Trick of the Tail has some great moments, but I recommend Selling England By the Pound as the one to start out with. Very very very good. The best, actually. ^_^ >Thanks! > >d a u s s t u d e n b e r g > --Matt --------------------------------------------------------------------- They Might Be Giants: REM with a sense of humor. --------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 17 Mar 1998 20:22:41 +1100 From: graham boyle To: email_address_removed, "Carlo D'Angelo" Subject: Re: Bad traders abound..... Unfortunately, the answers to my questions were usually depressing. I am now planning to get a Home Stereo CD- R. They are much easier to operate. Sure they are for Audio only, but that is what I was planning to use it for anyway. The data storage would have just been a bonus. So here is my new question? I saw a Philips CD-RW Home Stereo Unit for $599 and a Pioneer CD-R Home Stereo for $1599. Why would a CD-R only be $1,000 more than a CD-RW unit? Can anyone give me some brands and prices to consider for Home Stereo CD-R units? I think I will be much happier with these. Oh, one thing that may make me go with the CD-R for computer. I heard that you can make a 74 minute CD-R in less than 74 minutes because you aren't actually copying audio, but digital bytes representing audio. So you don't need to make the copy in real time. Is this true? And not just in theory. Have you been able to do this? Thanks. ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 16 Mar 1998 19:43:19 +0100 From: "Einar B. What = > albums by Genesis would anybody reccomend as "must have" albums?=20 I would start with Foxtrot, mainly because it contains Supper's Ready, a 24 minute opus. It also contains Watcher Of The Skies, one of the greatest songs ever made. If you dug that, then you should grap Selling England By The Pound and The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway. While you're at it, you can pick up the new one, Calling All Stations. It features Ray Wilson on vocals, and it's a classic. - m. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= email_address_removed / email_address_removed erotomania! - http://www.erotomania.org =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 17 Mar 98 14:46:59 PST From: "S." (just listening to Freedom of Speech, wonderful, dont you love how it builds up?) anyway, i have this weird problem: between all the tracks there are two second gaps. two seconds of silence, wish is ok, but NOT in 3 min warning: the music just stops for two seconds when the track changes. ive run the CD on three diferent players and my computer and its the same thing everywhere. ANYBODY ELSE have this problem? i cant imagine this was intended. Sebastian.Quack:squack@metronet.de; 'Einer leugnet den Jammer durch Hinweis auf die Sonne.
