What are the two channels talking about? Well, here is what I could interpret. In You Or Me on the left channel, which starts around 5:38, a man is talking about the antichrist to some interviewer Some of his dialogue includes, "My position was that if anybody who's a Christian would go there, they're not only allotting themselves to the demagogue, they're allotting themselves to the antichrist! Which by the way, this man is an antichrist. ...some more statements... (Other person "Did you see the video") I didn't need to see the video to call the guy an antichrist..." In the right channel, the dialogue begins around 5:52. The only dialogue I can make out while the song is playing is "If you can truly appreciate..." and then obviously is the sentence about how Jesus came to this world to save us from our sins. If anyone else can make out any of the dialogue, email me. I'm interested in trying to comprehend this radio chatter. So now they can do more improvising during concerts. I don't really understand this comparison, because I think every player can improvise. It's just that the better you can handle your instrument, the better your improvisations might get. Of course Derek has more a jazz background, so maybe that's what he meant. I read that JP said he didn't like to improvise either, and he wrote his 'improvised' solos before the show, or something. I wonder how much improvising they do during this tour. Anyone know about this? I would say this belongs on the jam since Prism records is the biggest source for DT boot cds. The reason why Mike thinks it is fine for people to wait months for cds is because he is the market for DT boots. I agree that Mike should clear out his backorder before he starts new projects. I dont know how his system works but if he says he has sent out 1-xxx of a boot title then everyone up to xxx should have that cd within a week (in the US) via the slowest of snail mail. If this doesn't happen then Mike is a liar. Come on, Mike clear up you back order. Your back order should be cleared out whenever it takes longer than 6-8 weeks to get a cd to someone after they paid for it. It is poor business to treat customers like crap. It is ridiculous to have someone wait 10 months for a cd. It is also ridiculous to ignore email from customers with ligitimate complaints and concerns. Another good reason to clear out your back order is the fact that if you dont, some of your customers waiting 10 months will go to the better business bureau or seek you up on mail fraud and you will be in big trouble. I'm not currently owed anything from Mike and I am very hesitant about ordering anything else just due mainly to the length of time to get my cd plus the emails with "what's the deal with my cd?" that I have to send. If there was someone else out there making same quality cds and better service, Mike would be out of business. |-------------------------------------------------------------------| | Pat Daugherty email_address_removed | |===================================================================| | Upon the murder scene of a NY Yankee fan at Camden Yards: | | "I didn't know that was illegal in Baltimore"-Munch on Homicide | |-------------------------------------------------------------------| ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 15 Jan 1998 14:37:52 -0600 (CST) From: Todd To: Multiple recipients of list Subject: CD-R's (NDTC) Message-ID: does anyone know what the differnece is when buying blank cd's why some of them cost about $5 a piece for a package of 10 and why others cost $2 a piece? i was at best buy and the maxell brand package of 10 cost $50 and the generec brand cds cost $20 for a package of 10. why is there such a big price difference? is there any difference in quality like its error probability or being able to be read in more players or something like that? thanks for your help. todd ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 16 Jan 1998 07:36:41 +1000 From: Graham Boyle To: email_address_removed Subject: Re: New DT / King's X member collaboration Message-ID: Tom Baddley wrote: > YES!!!! Ah the re-run of the Al & Pat show once again :) While there are plenty of reasons that this shouldn't be fought out on the jam, there is one good reason why it should ! He has apologized profusely, and i personally DON'T want t hear any more apologizing :) I understand that people are currently getting new orders in a timely fashion, and the backlog (in which i am included - PT) should be taken care of soon. I understand, and i'm wiling to wait (yes, even longer than 10 months, because the other Bahr CDs i've ordered have been delivered quickly). Why can't we let bygones be bygones and enjoy Bahr's boots (all except for you, Mads :)? Don't assume that because he messed up once and got a huge backlog that this is the way he runs his business. I do agree, however, with KAI's suggestion that Bahr stop releasing new projects until he gets rid of this backlog. However, it sounds like the backlog will be eliminated before his next project is done anyway. But i'd reccommend continuing working as he is, fulfilling the backlog orers as well as the current ones, because it's not fair to make the new customers wait in order to fill the old orders (if he did that, he WOULD get huge backlogs regularly). Umm, and stuff. And contributing to the shared birthdays thread (cuz you know i'm just a little trendchaser), i have the same birthday as Albert Einstein, only 101 years later. March 14, 1980 is mine.1879 for him. And i failed math 2 of my 4 high school years! I must be Einstein reincarnated. OK, well, that's enough out of me. For now. Muhahahaha! Whoa.
