Actually, no. Of course, I'm not James Arin, but if you don't get bulk discs, you'll pay more for them. If you live in Brazil, you'll pay even more. There are also many other factors to be taken into account here, that I wouldn't list as profit: - his time to press the CDs/electrical power to burn the CDs; - the amount of media that has to be discarded due to error/failures; - the high price of the CD-R burner (if he only has the CD-R for business purposes, this has to be taken into account). While his computer is burning CDs, it usually can't be used for anything else or the CDs may be unusable. Yeah man, we can't friggin' wait either. It's a 7-CD MP3-format box set called "Godot", and it's set for release in 2003. Since it's such a big album (49 hours of music, yet only 5 songs), they had to release parts of it on separate record labels. The 3 'commercial' CDs, "Metropolis Part 8: The Miracle, The Peeper, The Bed Wetter and the Stalker" (a Trilogy) will be released on Elektra, while the 2 light albums "We Wanna Be Rush 'Cause We Can Do it Better" (Vols. 1 & 2) will be released on Virgin Records. And then, for all us hardcore fans, the 2 deathmetal albums "You Asked For It" and "Vulgar Display of Flowers" will be released on Roadrunner and Metal Blade respectively. I for one can't fukin' wait! hahaha!! I won't acknowledge this as a cost either, because I don't believe that the CD-R was bought for the purpose of making cds to sell. But all in all, my projections were inaccurate. Though I know of ways to get discs for much cheaper without buying in bulk, James' costs are higher than I thought. I just wanted clarification. I made no accusations or anything. I don't know all the facts, but I do know that a local station around here, 95.9, WRAT is promoting DT like hell. They are giving away tix to the Trade Winds show, and offering a grand prize. I don't know much since I don't get the station very well, but I heard it in the car yesterday and felt left out. Anyway, if you live in the central New jersey area, try 95.9. I don't know if TW is sold out, but it very well could be now if a radio station is playing songs from FII and giving tix away. I can't describe it in my own words, so here's something from the booklet of the promo CD which sums Rhapsody up pretty well. With the release of their long-awaited debut album 'Legendary Tales', RHAPSODY is clearly the new hope of symphonic power metal. Recorded at the Gate-Studios in Wolfsburg, Germany, with producer Sascha Paeth (Angra, Heaven's Gate), the disc will serve to define a new standard in classically influenced metal, fusing compelling musical intricacy with an alluring theme of ancient legend and fantasy. The richly composed collection of 10 songs features the emotional depth of real flutes, harpsichord, cello and choir - no samples, no synthesisers - in addition to guitar, bass, drums and vocals. The result is a sweeping epic that carries away the listener to a far away place and time. Guess it's easy to spot a record company bio :) The only negative comments I have is that the album is way to short at a running time of just on 45 mins. But then we are definitely talking quality over quantity here. For a debut album they don't get much better than this. graham ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 15 Nov 1997 01:19:31 -0200 (EDT) From: Rogerio Brito To: Multiple recipients of list Subject: Re: CD replicas of Mike Bahr's CD's Message-ID: On Fri, 14 Nov 1997 email_address_removed wrote: > But all in all, my projections were inaccurate.
