Please all you ytsejammers... take a few moments out of your day and tell him that there are fans of DT/prog out there, and that you miss the show, etc. etc.. (he probably won't realize you're not at VT... not all that bright). Anyway, I've already had some VT people email him (the few that I know listen that late at night)... hey, if we get enough in, then maybe he'll give me a slot where people can actually be exposed to the genre and decide for themselves!!! (Might want to mention that it'd be nicer a few hours earlier!!! It sure would be for me! :) )... Anyway, I appreciate all you who have expressed your feelings at this crap... please give the guy an earful!!! professionally, of course!! :) Nothing would make me happier than an apology of the theme, "wow, I didn't realize this music was that popular here"... DO __NOT__ CALL DT MANAGEMENT!!! Message-ID: Someone posted the number to DT management in New York on a recent Jam. I cannot say this any clearer than this: DO NOT CALL IT. Not if you want DT to ever be receptive to our wishes EVER again. Ever. As it is, Jaison is overworked and underpaid for the immense load of crap he has to deal with every day with DT mgmt trying to work the industry and satisfy the band and his employer. The LAST thing he needs is to have all his work grind to a complete halt because of a zillion phone calls from Jammers, tying up the line that James needs to use when he's getting his plane tickets from Toronto to NY, tying up the line that venue coordinators call to confirm concert dates, tying up the line that management uses to get promotional deals, you get the picture. I don't know why on God's green earth that number was ever posted, but I IMPLORE all of you, with every ounce of stark fear I can muster, DO NOT CALL IT. And now back to your regularly scheduled Jam. :) Man, this P-200 is happenin'! :) All you people who have had fast systems this whole time, you're lucky! And after the snafu of the past few days properly shuffling all the components to make two properly equipped servers, I'm only down for 2 bad Dimms and a bad CD-ROM drive, so it looks like it's full speed ahead from here on out, since the replacements will be in in the morning. And finally, I can make Disc-At-Once clones (I'll work on converting the CD stock as soon as I properly config the program). DT in Germany some years ago. Didn't know what kind of music they were making, didn't even know they were playing until I saw the Shirts at the merchendise stand. They totally kicked ass. Whoever picked them for supporting DT sure knew what he/she was doing! They went together like 'horse and carriage'. It was one of the rare occasions when you're absolutely convinced by a show of a band you didn't even know before. Got their CD the next day. There's a bunch of new instrumentals I've never heard, the most notable of which are the grooving one at the end of Learning to Live, not to mention little snippets of 'Discotheque' and 'One' near the end of Metropolis. =) The sound quality is excellent throughout, and for those of you who balk at James not using vibrato during FII, well here he sure does. Overall, this is definitely a must-have boot. I don't know where you can get the original from to tell you the truth, but find someone who has it and borrow it. =) Otherwise, you can just buy a replica of it for $35 from me. (http://www.geocities.com/soho/2236) Of course it's also on Spinning Years, but I've already advertised to much for that lately, so please forgive me. =) D. What the hell? They also misspelled Doug's LATM was released in Europe and Japan only, so maybe they just included all domestic releases. And WDADU, well, that's another story. The official band info I got from EW Germany listed I&W as DT's debut album, once again. I guess they corrected it in the meantime, but they did this for years now. The new English biography I have is fine, though. This is a major label, folks! Do you believe the people who make the web pages for Elektra know all these bands? They are professionals, they are just doing their job. We should be glad that they reworked the page at all, and I think it looks great now. What the hell? WDADU is on a different label! Of course Elektra aren't going to mention it! And Live at the Marquee is a European/Japanese release only! Hence it's non-inclusion; this is an American company/web-site, remember? not saying this is a GOOD thing, they way Elektra's discography is setup, but this would be why it is the way it is.
