Anyways, I hope someone can get a good copy of this on tape or DAT. I'll be trying my best to get a high quality recording of the concert, but I don't know how my receiver is holding up these days. If I get a good copy of it, I will definitely put it on CDR media. If I don't could someone who records it notify me so we can work some deal out? I don't actually think the quote is "unhappy." You may be "unhappy" with the quote, but the adjective doesn't look like it belongs where you've put it. In any event, Lars and I are agreeing somewhat here. I DO think her songs are catchy, memorable, and hummable. I think she'd struggle coming up with a meaningful melody line on top of musical passages that shift between 9/8 and 7/4. But that isn't where her appeal is. In any event, what Lars has said is certainly tenable and not, at all, "stupid," whether or not you agree. I certainly WOULDN'T say it's crap. I like Dream Theater and Fates Warning more than Alanis Morrissette, Rush more than Metallica, but, after that point, I think we diverge. And I don't think of myself as an idiot.... I was at the used music shop, well its actually a bookstore.. go figure, and I saw a tape for Fates Warning (inside out)for about two bucks used. I already have it on cd but the point is that don't forget to peruse through the tapes sometimes. I mean if your just looking to check something out a $2.00 tape may be all you need. And watch for their new album, One Minute due out in July. I have a CD with a track off the new one called Soul Couragious and it is very different but none the less awesome. The longest Savatage song that I know of is Alone You Breathe and Chance both clocking in at near 8 minutes. Sure not progressive but definitely fucking amazing.... As for DT releasing their album by July, I heard so many different stories about the new album which is why I barely get involved in the "when-the-hell-is-DT-releasing-their-album" threads. Something I don't know is about the availability of those books, since I bought the I&W and Awake books about two years ago (any japanese jammer knows about this?).
