Message-ID: There's some confusion over the sound clips on Dr. Mosh's page. The one that is listed there as 'Tears' is *not* the new DT song Trial of Tears, it's a cover of a Rush song. This song has been played live a few time and this version is a studio version. Dr. Mosh, you might want to make a note that this is a *cover song* and not and original so people will stop getting confused. Also, someone posted that they didn't like the Raise the Knife clip and couldn't make it out. I could be wrong here, but I believe that particular clip is taken from a video of the clinic. Basically, it's a bad audio recording to begin with (muffled camcorder camera, mono, probably in the back of the room), that was recorded and then further reduced in quality by converting it to a Real Audio file (sampled at something like 8000 hz... about 1/5 CD quality). I have heard a clean recording of a shorter version of the the song, and it's a lot better than the one on Dr. Mosh's page. Whatever you do, don't base your judgement of the new DT stuff on any clips or tape you hear before they hit the studio. Anybody wonder what they're going to do with the songs in the studio? If they end up changing things when they record, do you think they'll play the 'studio version' on the next tour, or go back to the original 'live version'? Personally, I'd like to hear the songs a little different than they are on the album.... h t t p : / / w w w . m i s s o u r i . e d u / ~ c 6 7 5 3 1 1 / | Pat Griffin Reality2 Design | | email_address_removed email_address_removed | h t t p : / / w w w . m i s s o u r i . e d u / ~ c 6 7 5 3 1 1 / ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 30 Apr 1997 12:21:20 -0500 (CDT) From: Pat Griffin To: ThE NuGgeTjAm Subject: Tshirt confusion... Message-ID: I got email yesterday from someone who got the impression from my last update that if he orders now, he won't get his shirt until October. I'm not sure what it was that made him think that, but I did want to clear up any confusion. All I'm doing is switching the place that I'm mailing shirts from and receiving orders at from school here in Columbia, MO, to home in St. Louis, MO. There shouldn't be any more than a minor delay while I switch over. Generally, the turn around time from when you send the check to when you get the shirt is about 2-3 weeks, with the exception of recent orders that were postponed for over a month due to an error on my part. Things are back up and running smoothly, and there shouldn't be any more delays. There are still about 70 shirts left, and I hope to get those all out by the end of the summer... I have some other things in mind for production, but I can't afford to start that until my debt on the shirts is paid off. h t t p : / / w w w . m i s s o u r i . e d u / ~ c 6 7 5 3 1 1 / | Pat Griffin Reality2 Design | | email_address_removed email_address_removed | h t t p : / / w w w . m i s s o u r i . e d u / ~ c 6 7 5 3 1 1 / ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 30 Apr 1997 18:59:50 +0000 From: Jon Parmet To: email_address_removed Subject: Sounds like a winner Message-ID: > Real Audio limits frequency response.
