I'm interested in the apparent connection between DT fans and Mountain Dew. Anyone want to share the history of this cultural phenomenon? I wanted to show them the track marks on his arms, but thought it a bit much for the little maniacs :) I've spoken with a friend of mine who is a graphic artist and we pondered the following idea: I'm curious if anyone may be interested in DT underwear/lingerie. Now picture, if you will, the stories which might come forth... Mike's into boxing, so why not a pair of DT boxer shorts for the holidays, for example :) Other examples might include the Innocence Faded line stone washed undies, and the Erotomania line of edbile undies and I guess the flame-proof Ytsejam starter kit would be in there as well.. YOU BUNGHOLE! (J/K... I had > to add that, Carlos!) ---- > For all of us non drummers, what are "triggered drums"? A trigger is a little sensor that works very similarly to one key of a synth keyboard. When the drum is hit, the sensor sends a midi signal to some form of sampler or sound module, which in turn sends out a sound. This is used extensively by live drummers, because it's very hard to replicate that "great tone I had last week that the Vic Theater" when you're playing Bob's Beef and Burrito Live Music Night. It's used to give you the sounds you want without sitting around tweaking your mic positioning and drum tunings for hours. Drummers can tell you how much your drum head will retune itself when you go from sunny warm California to cold snowy New York. Take Care everyone. You make a deliberate attempt to imply that I have deceived the buying public by not including Ronnie Scott's gig on this CD. That is absolutely untrue, and I don't appreciate the implication. I made repeated announcements, LARGE announcements, VISIBLE announcements, here on the Jam, in public newsgroups, and now as a PERMANENT fixture on my web page, that the Tapestry disc (the Ronnie Scotts gig) was cancelled at the request of the band, and that I would be doing Darkest of Winters (from the Home for the Holidays shows) in its place. Furthermore, I offered to refund Tapestry orders instead of carrying the payment forward to TDOW, and in some cases I have done just that. I also offered to let people use their Tapestry payment toward any other CD I had available, and many took advantage of that offer. I have done nothing even the slightest-bit dishonest, and I believe I handled the unforeseen cancellation of Tapestry as well as anyone could be expected to handle it. Also, I was in contact with band management last night about the delays in the album release, and I have to say I understand a lot better why we have all had to wait. I can't say much because my sources were pretty tight themselves with the info, but I can say that it's not the band's fault, and it's not the management's fault. Furthermore, the personnel changes took place at the label, not at management. There are a lot of obstacles in place right now for the new album, and any one of them alone isn't too tough to surpass, but all of them simultaneously has made it very difficult for the band to make any headway. I especially want to emphasize how stressed mgmt is about getting this thing done and finished, because their job is involved in handling what happens when there's an album on the shelves, videos to plan, radio stations to contact, and a tour to plan and execute. Mgmt has promised to keep us up to date on the web site as this ordeal continues. I want to point out with this message that when _I_ say something and it turns out to be wrong, I'm the _first_ one to willingly correct myself, and fortunately most of you Jammers exhibit the same degree of integrity.
