I've been meaning to ask this, but I'm looking for this guy's solo album. It had alot of really cool stuff on it and I found it's been unavailable as of... uh... a long time ago. It had cool people jammin with him, especially the Ozzy track, Bombers (Open Bombay doors). I've only heard the thing once from a college bud I've lost contact with and never got a copy. If someone could direct me to a place that sells 'em or get me a dub, I'd be eternally grateful. (Well, maybe for a while at least. :) Thankumz! Not that I am or anything, but I find this to be rather rude. There are lots of other names you can use than "fag." Homosexual, gay, sexually disoriented, hormonally challenged... whatever... I have come to the fact the there are people among us who choose to be such and I am willing to accept that. But if any tries any advances towards me will be pummeled into a compact mess of tissue and I will write FP on my hand to keep them at bay evermore. Maybe SDFP. (Some people might not get that, but those of you that do... I think that was the stupidest thing we ever did in school) Nuff said. Metallica lives in San Fran. and Kirk is friends with gay people, but he's not. He's also been divorced from his ex-wife for a couple years now. I wouldn't think less of him even if he was gay, though. It's against my religion and my own personal moral code, but the main reason I like Kirk Hammett is because of his guitarwork, not which hole he choses to stick his d___ in. There is nothing wrong with a little bit of joking around, lets get crazy and talk about Dream Theater and end with a cool or nasty joke. That would be cool, here's one for everyone: A woman entered her doctor's office with a very grave expression on her face. "My husband just doesn't seem to have the sexual energy he once had," the woman complained. "I see," said her physician, with a concearned look on his face. "And just how old is your husband?" "Seventy-seven." "Well, in some ways, you just can't blame him, can you? Bodily functions do deteriorate with age. Now tell me, when did you first notice that there was a problem?" "Last night," she said, "and then again this morning." Thought that this one was worth a chuckle. Later, J ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 18 Jan 1997 01:19:46 -0500 (EST) From: Rick Audet To: email_address_removed Subject: Bootleg date mix-up Message-ID: Folks, Any of you die-hard collectors out there...I was noticing the date on the boot Classic Live, and it says the show was on December 5, 1992, but I think that's a mistake. The reason I disagree is because I was living in Miami at the time and I had just returned from semester break (january '93) when Aaron "DJ Kuul A" Silverman asked if I was interested in going to see DT in Ft. Lauderdale sometime soon. I declined (I still kick myself for this) because at the time, I wasn't into DT. :-( So I checked the master tour list (located on some web page somewhere) and just as I thought, the sole I&W Ft. Lauderdale show was February 22, 1993, which supports my claim. So if you own Classic Live, or if you even give a flying fuck about this minor detail, there you go. Otherwise, I'm sorry I wasted your precious time. (not!) How about that Bahr guy... Is he out of control, or what! Woo-woo!! Anyone who is interested, drop me an email. Current info is about the new album to be released sometime in the next couple months and some pre-release secret shows in the Detroit area. For those of you who aren't aware of the band as yet (because if you were, you'd fall into the previous category :)), they are a great prog rock band in the style of Enchant. Lots of Rush influence and awesome songwriting. They have been on a compilation with Dream Theater and Fates Warning in France, so they are serious artists. The new album was mixed by Terry Brown of Rush fame and they recently negotiated with Magna Carta for a record contract. Unfortunately, the band objected to some of the conditions of the contract and MC was not willing to modify the standard contract, but these guys are easily on a par with the best of MC's bands. It's seems like it's been a while since I have posted and I guess now is as good a time as any to return. First Subject: Michael Kiske I got his solo disc "Instant Clarity". I like it. I am not really sure if it is for everyone on here as it has several different moods to it. Some of it is kinda heavy (the songs Kai Hansen plays on are kind of in the Gamma Ray/Helloween mode{from the little I have heard of them}), but a lot of it is laid back. Two songs are freaky and crappy. But as a whole I really like the CD as I get the feeling that he did what he really wanted to do and wasn't restricted by anyone. It's a real emotional (to me at least) CD. Plus he is a #*%* good singer. Now a Kiske question: What Helloween CDs did he sing on, and were they any good? RUSH fans question: Is the Alex Lifeson solo thing "Victor" worth getting. You can private mail me your reviews. Misc stuff: Does any know anything about a band called Opeth? Does anyone have Elegy "Primal Instinct"? how about Maraya's new one? As far as Apocalypse Music, I ordered SUPERIOR from them a while back and the guy there was VERY nice to me and I got the CD within a week. Now, to my understanding, this dude has dropped off the face of the Earth and unfortunately I have heard WAY too much bad to recommend them to anyone. Funk....I know there is something DT related that I want to ask..errgggg....what is it? Sorry for the lack of DTC.
