A variation of this would be to make the first "ting" a quarter note and latter "ting" a dotted quarter note in 6/8, which would give the second phrase of this same melody. The whole melody is in 5+5+5+4.6+6+6+4 /8. First, their original album (self titled) has just been re-released in Japan and will be re-released here in the US in a month or two. Additionally, they have contributed one song each to the following three Magna Carta tribute albums: "Release, Release" for Yes, "Time" for the Floyd and "Entangled" for Genesis (a personal favorite). The Yes tribute has appearances by Steve Howe, Patrick Moraz and Steve Morse. Am not in it financially, but FYI here is the address for Magna Carta records where each of the above disks can supposedly be had for $15.98 (US only, I would have to assume): Magna Carta 208 E. 51st Street #1820 New York NY 10022 2) The Scarred thing. I briefly saw a setlist for the Berklee show in 1994 and think that I remember seeing "Scarred" listed as a second encore. Could this be true ?? I only glanced at this setlist for a brief moment but I am fairly certain that I saw two encores listed. Does anyone have a copy of that setlist ?? For what it matters, only one encore was played (Metropolis). 3) Rather interesting to see what happens when Ytsejammers have a bit too much of that thar firewater.......... She let out a scream that was muffled by the gunman's grip. The hands loosened and dropped. She gasped for breath. She looked down at the attacker. He was lying on the ground, dead, a neat hole in the center of his forehead. She looked around, mouth agape. Movement in the corner of her eye caught her attention. She jogged deeper into the darkness of the alley. She turned around in a circle, looking for something, anything. She had to find out who saved her life. A hand grabbed her arm. The grip was tight, yet somehow she knew it would do no harm. She turned to face the owner of the hand. It was a nondescript figure. Plain height, build and face. Nothing remarkable or out of the ordinary. "Who are you? Why-" The man put his finger to his lips, in the universally known "shooshing" gesture. She looked at him srangely. The man turned and walked away. She started to say "Wait", but something she didn't know of stopped her. She turned and went home. That night in bed, she tried to review the events that taken place, but it was somehow fuzzy. She shrugged all her thoughts away and drifted into a deep sleep. The next morning she had no recollection of what had happened. Somewhere, the Silent Man smiled. Author's Note Hello, Jammers. I followed up on my short story idea. This one came to me pretty quickly. Lemme know if you think it sucks or is good, or something. This kinda fits with the lyrics and the single cover. Maybe not what was actually meant by John Petrucci, but it's what came to me while listening to the song.
