(That was me who posted a long time ago about my five cds with PBGA) Anyway, here's the info: 1. Pink Bubbles Go Ape 2. Kids of the Century 3. Back on the Streets 4. Number One 5. Heavy Metal Hamsters 6. Goin' Home 7. Someone's Crying 8. Mankind 9. I'm Doin' Fine, Crazy Man 10. The Chance 11. Your Turn Michael Kiske - Vocals Roland Grapow - Guitar Michael Weikath - Guitar Markus Grosskopf - Bass Ingo Scwichenberg - Drums This disc came out in 1991, speaking studio-wise, between Keeper 2 and Chameleon. Not as good as Keeper 1 or 2, but not too bad. Be careful how much you pay because it is a "cool price" release in (I guess) Holland/UK. The cd was manufactured in Holland, but I think it may be a UK or Canadian import. Regardless, I paid 12 or 13 US for it. No DT content? HA! Hopefully I'll get my Subcon on Monday. My five: Queensryche - Promised Land, Dream Theater - Images and Words, Memento Mori - Rhymes of Lunacy, Crimson Glory - Crimson Glory, King Diamond - The Spider's Lullabye. A 'tage fan - ah, warms my heart... I've heard that they're going to reissue Streets as a 2 CD set featuring all 26 songs (there are 15 on the current release) - this will be GREAT! Anyone on the list have her "Who Man Four Says"? I believe she's a Canadian artist, so you might want to check across the border for that. BTW - she's the woman Geoff is so diligently pursuing in the video for that song... Message-ID: think it would be pretty cool to hear them do "Rime of the Ancient Mariner (a long song). I also like "Alexander the Great" as well. Speaking of Maiden, 2 1/2 years ago, I was in England. While there, I attended a record/tape/CD sale. While perusing the Maiden section, I happened upon a CD that I had never seen before. According to the notes on the sleeve, it was a live recording that the guys did under another name in a small club (in London?). I can't remember if there were any Maiden songs on it, but I do remember that the bulk of the recording consisted of cover tunes. I cannot for the life of me remember what songs were on there, but U2 and Bruce Spingsteen keep coming to mind (I like U2, but not Springsteen, by the way). I'm kicking myself HARD for not getting it. If anyone knows anything about this, please help. Thanx. For anyone who might care, some bands I think are pretty cool (besides the obvious DT) are: Tourniquet (AWSOME drummer), Believer, Saviour Machine, and King's X. Oh yeah, Galactic Cowboys, too. One more thing (I know this is long - sorry), any info on rare/bootleg DT (and any other cool ones) would be greatly appreciated. Thanx again! I was at the Salzburg show of DT on Saturday. Great!!! Threshold did not play, so I was a bit disappointed at first, but DT were just so great I completely forgot about that. After UaGM and Mirror/Lie, they played ACOS (James said it would be 23 min. so thats almost 5 minutes more than on Instrumental II and Subconsciuos. I like the new version). After that, James talked something about a mystery guest... and there he was: Paul Di'Anno entered the stage (I guessed it would be Paul, because a friend of mine had spotted him before the show and we had said Hi to him). Paul said he did not know what was going on and he thought they would play a song together. If I understood him right, he lives in Salzburg now and it was his first DT show although he had all of their CDs). Then they played "Killers" (Paul on vocals). Aaaarrghhhhh! I love it!! After the song, DT were saying goodbye to Paul for a least 3 minutes, falling into each other's arms and James said "I love it". During their songs, John P. is moving around the stage much more that on the other shows I saw. I was standing in the 2nd row on the left side, and only 50 centimeters from him when he play this solo in the second half of Voices. The venue was rather small (around 700 I think), and the stage was only about half a meter high, so you could take really close looks at all of them. Mike did not say Hi to me, although I wore my Ytsejam t-shirt :( They played more than 2 hours. The audience was great & loud and I think DT enjoyed the gig. The remainder of the show was the same as on the dates before, so I won't tell you again. Well, ties already sent a review for the DT-Concert in Saarbruecken. So I won't do the same thing again. Just a few notes: I enjoyed (<-sp.?) it very much that some of us german ytsejammers met there in Saarbruecken (Hi Till, Tilman und Ties!! :) ) It's just great meeting people who I first just wrote to on the screen... And I enjoyed it very very much that we had the possibility to meet the band! They told us that there will be some covers on the CD. I remember Mike mentioning the name Elton John and some others I would never have thought of. And there will be a medley! James told us, that he was sick on the last tour and that's the reason why his voice cracked sometimes. In Saarbruecken his singing was AWSOME!!! I was a little sad that the Johns were not there because I really would have appretiated it to talk to the great Petrucci. How can someone have such a sound?!!?!?!? Unreal. A little joke that happened: When we went off, Mike offered the rest of his Big Mac to us and one of our ytsejamming friends asked "Can you sign it??" Hihi. Ok. That's all for now. Bye. Bernd. ------------------------------ End of YTSEJAM Digest 877 *************************
