Stating likes and dislikes is okay, but any statement that band A is 'better'

A valid point. If it's direction that you're looking for, check out "Gates Of
Delirium" from the Relayer album.

It depends on the partner, but sometimes masturbation is the way to go. I'll
take Yes masturbating over less talented bands any day (pun intended).

Fragile is on the bottom of my list cause it's disjointed and, umm, lacks

At first it looked like Dream Theater was playing at this benefit, but
luckily....

1- It was at Wetlands and why would DT play there??
2- Why would they play with October Project??
3- I'm on Ytsejam, and I knew the tour was still going till at least the
10th. :)

After I saw the ad, a friend called me up to tell me that DT was playing
Wetlands :) :) So, Someone was fooled.

I didn't know it was on N. Moore street though. You sure it isn't K. Moore
street?

Does anyone have a complete Dixie Dregs discography?  I just picked up "Full 
Circle" and was blown away.  I want more!  Problem is most local stores only 
have a few albums and there seems to be a big gap in the dates during the 
80's.  Did the band stop making albums during this time (break up?) or are my 
local stores just lacking (a definite possibility)?  If anyone has info please 
send it to me via email.

  That's why I've always thought that the band name "Yes" was short
for "Yes, We Need a New Lead Singer".


(no flames please, I'm a big Yes fan myself, but I can understand why
people would get annoyed by Jon Anderson's voice.  It's probably the
same reason why I'm annoyed by the lead singer from Green Day, but
alas, they don't have the music to overcome their deficiencies like
Yes does.)

I just thought that I would leave a little infomative message for
all of my fellow tape trades on the Ytsejam.   I'm sure some of you
are aware of this but there may be others that are not.

DO NOT USE HIGH SPEED DUBBING TO COPY TAPES!!!!!!!!!!!!
(if you are at all concerned about quality, that is)

Please don't ask me exactly why.  Once I posted a question about this
on one of the audio newsgroups where all the techies hang out.  The
explanation is something like this.

When the tape spins twice as fast, it doubles the frequencies that the
tape is sending out.  Say the max what 20,000hz (or whatever the 
max is) and when doubled it would be 40,000.  When you are trying to put
that on the second tape, you loose alot of the upper freq range because
the tape you are putting it on can also only handle up 20,000.

I know that this is probably not the exact explanation but it is something
along this line.   Please don't flame me on this, its just what I have heard
and tested for myself.  I compared normal speed copies and hi-speed dubs and
its easy to tell the difference.

So please don't use hi-speed dub, especially when trading with others.
You may not care for your own tapes but others will appreciate the 
higher quality.

Lie single with To Live Forever?   cdeurope.com has something called
a Lie -3 track- single.  I guess one of those tracks would be
TLF but they don't tell you track listings and I can't really gamble
$12.95 right now....    If anyone checks into it, please let me (us)
