It occurs at around the one hour mark in the film, where Alfredo has lost his sight in a fire, and he says (according to the subtitles), "Now that I have lost my sight, I see better." (A terrific movie, by the way, in case anyone is curious enough to go and rent it.) Would be interested to know if DT "took the time" to get the film producer's permission to sample this quote. It is definitely pulled directly from the movie...the voice is identical. On a non-DT note, saw King's X last night (4/15)...unbelievable. See 'em if you can. *--------------------------------------------------------------------------* | PAMELA POCILUK email_address_removed | *--------------------------------------------------------------------------* | Tori Amos / Happy Rhodes / Kate Bush / King's X / Galactic Cowboys | | Marillion / Jellyfish / Eleven / Alice in Chains / Dream Theater | *--------------------------------------------------------------------------* | ...and the just and the unjust all walk side by side... - King's X | *--------------------------------------------------------------------------* ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 16 Apr 1994 14:41:03 -0400 (EDT) From: William T Bajzek Subject: Re: A Woman Speaks! Frank Aresti wrote three of the eight and co-wrote one. Aresti is an awesome guitarist, but I think Matheos is the stronger songwriter. I am pretty sure Aresti had almost no hand in writing Parallels. Matheos really took control on that one. Its good to that they are getting some positive response, because they are all really cool guys. They don't really get much respect from local clubs and radio. They are a lot more serious about music than the other bands here-they try to mold their own sound instead of joining the bandwagon. They are all in college as well-Jay and Paul, my classmates here, I both getting their psych degrees this term. Their tape is being distributed overseas, but they have no definite offers to be signed. its too band that true talent is often overlooked by the mindless masses. ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 16 Apr 1994 21:49:25 PDT From: email_address_removed (Dr. Mosh) Subject: Re: Fates Warning Aresti is Dark... darker then Matheos... Matheos is much more sad... melancholy... and together, they just are... well... Fates Warning...
