Thanks! Well, back when the discog was in its infancy, I had submitted to me a CD called "Runes" (not the disc itself, but the info thereon for inclusion in the bootleg listing) and it said it was recorded in Ogden, Utah. Not having any reason to dispute it, I listed it as such. I don't know what bootleg CD maker puts out Runes though. Word by word: "" ...As for the band, they are currently writing and rehearsing for the new album. They met with a few producers last week, but they have not yet dediced who will produce the new album. I was lucky enough to hear some of the new material: One new song is a ten-minute epic very much in the DT tradition and another is an acoustic piece that might be part of a trilogy of sorts... "" What about Terry Brown? Didn't someone write that he was going to be the new producer? Damn! I certainly hope he gets to do the job. I picked it up at one of their practices. Rena, I think this is how this is spelled, was also in the band. Marleene forgot to bring the manual for the processor so I went to one of their show at the bond street cafe in NYC. The band, Meanstreak, plays music that is really heavy. They were very good. They used to be on some record label I think the title of the album was "roadkill" ( I saw it a long time ago in one of the metal mags.) They played the city a lot, or at least used to, and they have opened for Dream Theater in the past. They left that label because they didn't get much promotion. I don't know if they are signed now or not. Well at the show that I went to Rena's roadie was Petrucci, her boyfreind at the time. It was cool me and one of my friends got a chance to talk to him for a bit. He is a really cool guy. Rena is a pretty good guitarist. From what I remeber though she didn't play the same style as Petrucci, she played a more of a straight ahead metal type solo (at least campared to Petrucci.) The band doesn't (at least didnt' then) play progressive metal but if you are into heavier bands you will probably like them. This is all I know about her and her band. I hope this answers some of your questions. P.S. This seems to be one of the first posts that I written that prob won't start a flame war. :) See ya Athanasios Tom Menegatos ------------------------------ End of Digest ************************
