Thanks for sticking up for all of us DT lovers. Just listen to A Fortune in Lies...he sucks! And what is with the way he sings the final words in The Killing Hand? This guy can go back to Journey cover bands and daydreaming about singing for Rush should something happen to Geddy's voice...Status Seeker is a good example there. Sure James isn't quite as impressive live as he was in the Studio, but Charlie is pathetic. I'd rather sing for DT than let him back in! Later! And everytime we get to Take the Time on the CD we have a slight debate on the intro which I would like to see what everyone else thinks... Is the Bass part doubled on Bass drum in the VERY begining? Yes, it is definately doubled later on in the intro, but what about the first few notes? Don't listen to any live version for the answer, because we feel that this would require SERIOUS cordination that the octopus does not have. Live he just uses the bass drum on downbeats. So that means it would be overdubbed on the album. Any thoughts? In an unrelated note, I see someone flamed DT really really HARD on the Rush list. They said DT has two "cheesy ballads so when people hear them, they will be hooked and think they are the greatest band in the world" or some other crap like that. Also the DT writes "horribly cheesy lyrics". Whatever. Time to go flame this dude in person. -Jeff "Does anyone smile without a mask" - Geoff Tate By the way, Colin and Adam, our shirts will be done Friday email_address_removed ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 17 Mar 94 03:22:04 EST From: email_address_removed (Chris White) Subject: Re: seats I still don't agree that DT is a band to mosh too. You wanna mosh, go to a Pantera concert. I mean, the thought of moshing to Surrounded, or Wait for Sleep... Please. I don't see a problem with listening to the music, moving to the music, but not try to crush anyone that comes near you. That's not entertainment.
